Grande Finale to 10 Parishes Festival

West Somerset's nine day celebration of the arts ended in truly festive spirit as hundreds of people flocked to the 10 Parishes Festival Market in Wiveliscombe last weekend, while eager audiences lapped up the creative outpouring of everything from open art galleries to sculpture gardens, drama to singing.

Flying Start for 10 Parishes Festival

Elephants and giraffes are coming out of the bushes in the rural village of Bathealton, a horse found its way into the grand but disused Town Hall in Wiveliscombe, artists and craftspeople are flinging open their doors left, right and centre, and silent films made a great comeback – all part of the 10 Parishes Festival.
Saturday 15th - Festival Market Including BBC Somerset Sound

Saturday 15th sees the arrival of the 10 Parishes Festival Market in West Street, Wiveliscombe. Along with all the wonderful stalls selling local produce, arts and crafts, there will be entertainment both in Jubilee Gardens and the street. The BBC Somerset Sound Bus will also be broadcasting live, with a chance to become involved in making a news bulletin.

Arts lovers across Somerset and into Devon can now plan ahead for a feast of the arts, with the arrival this week of the 10 Parishes Festival Guide.
Over 20,000 copies were delivered hot off the press to the Wiveliscombe Community Office, for distribution across the county at Tourist Information Centres, libraries, shops, exhibitions including the Taunton Flower Show and more.
